Work with a Team of Caring Women to Nurture Hurting Women

Serving the needs of others has created close relationships among the women of Compassionate Hearts Ministry.  We joyfully use our God-given gifts and talents to nurture hurting women in unique ways.

Along the road we laugh together, cry together and grow together in our faith as we trust God to use us to make a difference.  Join us as we embrace women who are hurting with the love of Christ.  

Imagine what it's like living in a homeless shelter, perhaps with small children.  Or to be forced out of your home into an abused women's shelter.  Or to be released from prison and feel overwhelmed with adjusting to "life outside".  Women in all these situations are running on survival mode.  You can make a difference in women's lives who want so much for someone to care. 

 

How CHM Works

From September through November and January through May, Compassionate Hearts goes to a different outreach site monthly. To kick off our time, our team members bring refreshments and spend time getting to know the women. We have speakers on our team who may talk about finances, nutrition, or parenting. Our main speaker shares her testimony and gives the women an opportunity to trust Christ as her Savior in a non-threatening way. God has used CHM to bring many women to Christ. The women also write down prayer requests which are typed up and sent out to the CHM team members.

 We encourage the women in tangible ways with denim gift bags filled with toiletries, a Bible, and other goodies. Members of the Heights women’s Bible studies donate make-up for us to give to the women. They love it! The Prayer Shawl Ministry provides shawls for each of the ladies. Tears flow freely as CHM members wrap the shawls around the ladies, lay hands on them and pray for them.

The evening ends with hugs all around!

Compassionate Hearts Ministry is open to women from all walks of life.  You are welcome to join our team whether you attend The Heights or not.

Compassionate Hearts Ministry involves only a few hours of time each month, but offers huge rewards as we watch God at work.
